IP magnet recycling

The IP has been recycled. A manual method for extracting the demagnetized powder from the rotors was developed. Demagnetization was achieved by heating the rotor to minimum 350 degrees Celsius. The powder was mechanically crushed and re-pressed into new rotors. A loss in coercivity is observed which needs to be investigated further.

The new design not only is reusable but also provides the designer with control of cogging torque and torque ripple.
